With over 30 years of experience on the IBM i platform, I’ve evolved from hands-on RPG and SQL development into a strategic leader and mentor. As Manager of Product Development, I lead with a developer’s mindset—building scalable, maintainable systems while guiding teams and aligning development with product strategy.
I specialize in modern RPG (Free & Fixed Format), embedded SQL, and DB2, and have led initiatives in system modernization, performance tuning, and legacy integration. Along the way, I’ve developed a passion for teaching and mentoring new developers—especially those entering the IBM i space.
That passion led me to create The RPG Blend—a content and training series focused on bridging traditional RPG development with modern practices. It’s about sharing lessons learned, mentoring the next wave of developers, and keeping the platform strong by building what’s next.
